Therapy is a collaborative process focused on your growth and well-being. By utilizing research supported modalities like EMDR, we’ll explore the roots of your concerns, develop coping mechanisms, and cultivate practices to manage life’s pressures. Through the process of therapy, you’ll develop resilience, find your focus, free yourself from old beliefs and expectations and make conscious, positive decisions that move you closer to a life with more ease, self-awareness, acceptance and growth.
I will use role-plays, grounding meditations and body oriented questions to help you explore and understand your inner landscape. Imagine, coming back home to yourself, changing the patterns in your life that don’t work for you, and finding more compassion for yourself and others.
I use a two-pronged approach with anxiety. First, I teach mindfulness tools to help you regulate your nervous system, which gives you some immediate relief. Next, I help you understand the underlying emotions that drive your anxiety. This will create resolution which will help you release tension in your body, allowing you to become calmer and more relaxed.
